Me and the roommate ran in the derby last night. We ran my 1988 Oldsmobile Delta88. THe first heat we blew a fuel line and had to shut her down. We got her fixed then in the consolation round we won landing us a trophy and $50 and a pass into the feature round where we finished 5th out of 12.

Here's some pics

> The new Challenger, up close and personal!!!
Posted by captainkirk - 07-23-08 09:45 - 7 comments
Tuesday morning before work, I stop at Hardee's to pick up a couple of biscuits since I slept a little extra time that morning, due to working 16 hours the day before. It turned out to be a great decision because when I pulled in the parking lot, there set a brand spanking new Challenger!! It was the TorRed color, fully loaded. After I got my food at the window, I pulled over next to him and talked to him for a couple of minutes. I got a good look at the front and rear of the car. It's beautiful! He told me he had just gotten back up this way from Raleigh after taking a friend to the airport overnight. That is roughly 1.5-2 hours each way. He said he only used a quarter of a tank. I was shocked.

The car has everything available, including the 6.1L Hemi!!! He cranked it up for me, and it has a nice sound, not too loud and it disguises the power that is under the hood. He had just taken delivery of it within the last week, and just getting to know the car, but says it's a beast. I complimented him on the car for sure, but then had to go to work. Seeing that car in person makes me want one that much more, but I don't have the dough to get what he's cruising in.....

> Turning off day running lights
Posted by danceofillusions - 07-23-08 07:07 - 7 comments
Is there a way to turn off the day-running lights while maintaining the normal night-lights? I noticed that day-runners are for canada only...is that some sort of canadian law? In any case, I don't want them turned on during the day.

> Cloud braking system
Posted by 19stratus97 - 07-22-08 21:53 - 6 comments
I know this might be the wrong forum but I need some help. Its about time for me to replace my worn brake parts. I got a good deal on ebay for my rear drums. I still need the shoes, front rotors and front pads.
What do you guys recommend? I also found some relined brake shoes on ebay for less than $25(they retail over $65 at my local auto parts store). I think everyone knows how bad our braking systems are but i need to change everything just to be safe.
As far as rotors, what do you guys think? I have drilled/slotted right now but they have been a problem since the beginning because I think one of them was slightly warped(i know, i should have just changed them).
what about changing the calipers??? My strat has 84,000 miles. Thanks alot guys for any help you can give me.
