Let’s get Started
So once you have all the supplies needed, it’s time to have some fun. Start by stripping a ½ inch off each ends of the wires from the aftermarket wiring harness.
The Head-unit should come with another wiring harness, one that’s made to plug into the back of that head-unit. Strip off those wires the same way you did with the Aftermarket wiring harness.
Looking at the both harnesses, look at the color of each wire. Find the one’s that match and twist them both together. After doing one, take one crimp connector and put it over the end of the wire’s and crimp. Do this for all the wires. NOTE: There may be some wires that aren’t going to be used, I suggest to just put a crimp over that wire so it doesn’t short out onto any other wire.
Now that you have all your wiring done, let’s install it. Start by removing the plastic radio bezel by gently pulling on it. Once that is off, take your Philips screwdriver and remove the 4 screws holding the stock Radio in.
Undo the connectors in the back for the stock Radio and pull out the antenna connector.
Before installing the connectors together, take your Dash installation kit and slid it over the head-unit coming from the back. There should be little metal tabs on the head-unit that you can pry up, so pry some up so that it snug’s the dash kit onto the head-unit firmly.
Now take your antenna wire and put that in first. I say to do this first to save you time incase you forget to put it in. Connect all connector’s in the back and test it out. Turn the key backwards so just the radio turns on and check to see that all is good, CD Player works, FM radio works, etc. After everything is up and working, time to put it in.
Push your head-unit back into place and take two screws and secure the dash kit into the spot. Pop back in the Radio bezel and you're finished!
NOTE: If your head-unit doesn’t want to go back far enough, you have to stick you hand behind there and push the wires down, so that there not all bunching up behind the head-unit.
