Dash Removal for a 1G (1995-2000) Stratus, Cirrus, or Breeze

I know there are alot of different posts and how-to's that mention how to remove the dashboard, but I thought that someone should make one that was general and yet detailed enough that it could be useful to anyone doinf anything having to do with the dashboard. So, here we go...

First off, you'll have to remove the radio trim/bezel...

Just slip a plastic putty knife or a flat head screw driver covered with a rag, so it doesn't scratch the plastic, under the edge of the trim and pry it outward till one of the trim clips lets loose. Then work your way around the bezel till it is fully removed.

Next you'll see the bolts that hold the radio in place and other various screws that hold on dash trip pieces. You'll be removing three screws in this step and they're the ones circled in the picture.

Theres one more screw that has to be removed to take off the gauge hood trim piece. It's located behind the interior fuse panel cover, located on the very right drivers side of the dash, and is "hidden" when the door is closed, so you'll have to have the door open to get to the panel cover and the screw.

Now it's time to actually remove the gauge hood. Start by pulling out on the trim near where the hole for the radio is and then work your way pulling the trim up around the back of the hood. Be careful here because the back edge of the hood can be very sharp and I have cut myself taking it off a couple of times before. Here is a picture of the back of the gauge hood so that you'll know where the trim clips are:

Now that you have the gauge hood removed this is what the dash will look like:
