I just open each new topic in a new tab usually. I haven't had problems when I occasionally use the back button though.

I have had that random back button thing before. I would click it, it'd do something and load a page, but it would still be the same page. I kinda figured that to be an explorer issue since it happened in different spots. It came and went as it pleased.

I've not been able to replicate the problem on my systems at work and at home.

Do you HAVE to use Explorer?

It does it on Google Chrome too sometimes. I never really made much of it. It happens on particularly eBay but it does happen somewhat frequently to me on here. Double clicking the back button solves the problem most of the time for me.

its not so much a 'have to use explorer' its just what im used to and use. im not so hugely worried you fix the problem for me, but for the internet newbies that will come here will likely be running explorer since it comes on almost all computers nowadays.
oh and btw this is th eonly site i have any problems with it

OK. It's not that I don't WANT to fix it, mind you. Just looking for alternatives and workarounds while I take the time.

3 clicks on the back button to go back to the previous screen for me.

I use Explorer 7. I have tried it with a different computer using Explorer 8 with exactly the same results.

The problem is the way the browsers are handling the ads. When you back up, all it does it try to reload the last ad - because that was the last "page" that loaded.
