Alright guys, so heres the deal, I've been talking to Rich about these aluminum oil caps and he said its not really practical to make just one or two, so the only way to get one at a decent reasonable price is through a group buy.

So heres the info...

There are a number of different choices. The shape can either be the stock style or a pentagon style. They can also be either polished (like the strut bars and intakes) or not polished. This applies to both the 4 cylinders (2.0 and 2.4) and the V6 (which I'm assuming would work on the 3.0s as well for you swapped guys, but you'll have to be the one to determine that).

As for prices:
-$40 for the pentagon style non-polished, $50 for the polished pentagon
-$45 for the stock style non-polished, $55 for the polished stock

As for shipping, Rich didn't give me a quote on it, I'm assuming it would be different for everyone. HOWEVER, he said if we get ten of each, then shipping would be free.

If you have any questions, send them to me through a PM and then I'll forward it on to Rich. Just remember he is a busy guy so it might take a couple days to hear back from him.

Heres all the pictures Rich sent me, they're all of the ones for the 4 cylinder engine, but the V6 ones will be cut to fit those motors. Some are polished and some aren't and you can tell the difference and the difference between stock and pentagon shaped:

Yeah, thats really the prefered way, that way I can just keep all the funds in my paypal account and then send it to Rich without it going into my bank account. But if people don't have paypal and can only do MO, thats fine.

He said shipping will be free, but since paypal takes a 3% cut and the money has to be transfered twice (once from you to me and then again from me to Rich), I ask that everyone include an extra 6% in the payment. I know it sounds like a lot, but I think its only like an extra 2 or 3 dollars.

Update is that hes talking to someone else about getting them machined, so it shouldn't be too long now.

Also, hes got a different design for the V6 ones. I've got a couple pictures I'll post later, but they're not very big. They're actually a lot like ones you find in tuner shops made by HKS and similar companies and Rich is going to have a DS logo on them. Plus, I'm pretty sure we won't need ten people for that (so the 4 of us V6 guys signed up will get them without wait).

Alright, so heres the story on those new V6 caps. Rich sent me a couple pictures of ones that are the same style, but they've got different logos on them. The ones he will have will have the DS logo in them.

First heres the pictures of the examples (yeah I know they're small, but you get the idea)...




They will be polished like originally planned and the DS logo in the center will be either black and silver or it can be made with silver lettering and your choice of red, yellow, or blue to match the intake boots and filters (whatever the popular opinion on this is is what he'll make, SO LET ME KNOW!).

He didn't say for sure yet, but the price will probably be lower as well.

Now this is all just for the V6 guys, 4 cylinder guys, yours will look like the ones originally posted. And he is talking to someone else about getting them machined. A little bump in the road, but please be patient, they will be made.

What are the chances he can duplicate that 6cyl cap's look for the 4cyl guys? I like the rivet holes and sunken center a LOT! Kinda mimics my wheels!

I don't think hes the one making the V6 caps, I think hes buying them already made and then adding a different logo to it.

Well, I'll tell Rich and see what he can do. But remember, straes was talking about making logos for them, I believe he was going to make them with the Mopar "M" on them, but maybe he can do some DS ones cause I know he makes DS vinyl logos.

But it looks like out of the four of us V6 guys, the consensus seems to be a black/silver logo, which I think will be easier for Rich to do and easier to ship out instead of worrying who wants what color.

Im in for black and silver just make sure it faces the right way when in.

I am working on a emblem the may fit on the caps 4 or 6cyl version. They will be black w/ chrome about 1.75-2.0" in diameter. Current design is the mopar "M" with "STRATUSPHERE" arched over the top and ".net .us .info" on the bottom. I will post a pic when I get them.

Good news for the V6 caps, Rich says he should be able to get them in soon, probably within the next two weeks.

But, for the 4 cylinder ones, hes still working on it. Please be patient. Sorry for the wait guys, he is working on it though.

Ok, Rich told me hes got about 15 V6 caps coming and should be ready to send out to us members by mid-April. So he wants me to collect the money for those. He initially said $35-$40 shipped so I'm waiting for him to get me a final answer on that, but whatever the price there will be an additional 6% added for PayPal fees (so $2 extra should cover it).

As for the 4 cylinder caps, he didn't have a chance to update me in the last e-mail but I asked him what the status is so I'm waiting for a response. 4 cylinder guys- GOOD NEWS! The time is almost here! Rich has found someone to make the caps and he got a sample, he just needs to talk to the guy about quantity and such. No time table yet on when they'll be ready to ship out, but big progress has been made.

Now, the sample he got is in gunmetal, so he wants to know who would be interested in that color, or he can see if they can do chrome/polished. Please let me know which you would prefer and I'll let him know. I'm pretty sure though, whatever the majority wants is what will be made, otherwise it will be more expensive.
